About the role
The VP, Manufacturing for Pierce Manufacturing is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing manufacturing strategies that drive operational excellence, productivity, and sustainable business growth. This role provides end-to-end leadership of production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first, high-performance culture grounded in lean principles and accountability
- Implement and sustain a Team Daily Management system that drives daily accountability, accelerates problem resolution, and embeds continuous improvement into the operating culture
- Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with business objectives to drive competitive advantage
- Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and alignment with enterprise strategic priorities in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement partners, engineering, customers, etc.
- Lead the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and digital solutions (Industry 4.0) to enhance operational capability and performance
- Provide enterprise-level, cross-functional leadership across Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Safety
- Oversee production operations, including capacity planning and resource allocation, to optimize throughput, efficiency, and cost performance
- Define, monitor, and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Own and manage manufacturing budgets, ensuring delivery against financial, operational, and strategic targets
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team to support current operations and future growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management, Business Administration, or related field
- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in manufacturing
- Eight (8) or more years of management experience

- Demonstrated success leading highly automated, advanced manufacturing environments, including the application of Industry 4.0 technologies

- Strong executive leadership capability, with experience leading large, diverse teams through transformation and growth
- Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and supply chain integration
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering measurable operational and financial results
- Proven track record of driving lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement cultures
- Thorough knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
Pay
$189,800.00 - $370,200.00
