Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a visionary and results-driven Vice President, Information Technology to lead and evolve our IT function during an exciting and pivotal period of growth. What You Will Do

  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage information technologies to improve productivity and business performance
  • Lead and manage an IT team of internal staff and external service providers; establish clear guidelines, roles, and service levels to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Chair the Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC); oversee the IT portfolio, drive prioritization, and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives
  • Drive the development and deployment of new capabilities across R&D, Commercial, and G&A functions
  • Serve as a thought leader in applying innovative technologies to accelerate clinical development and optimize regulatory and pharmacovigilance processes

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a VP or equivalent senior leadership role, ideally within a biopharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environment
  • Proven track record of defining and executing IT and digital strategies that deliver measurable business value in a regulated environment
  • Expertise with the emerging technologies including AI and Large Language Models
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, clinical operations, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise technology transformation programs, including cloud, SaaS, ERP, and data platform modernization
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar IT budgets
  • Track record of building productive Senior Leadership partnerships and influencing enterprise strategy as a trusted peer

Pay

The current base salary range for this position is expected to be between $257,882 and $429,803 annualized; final salary will be determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, years of relevant experience, job knowledge, skills and proficiency, degree/education, and internal comparators.

Schedule

Location Specific – Hybrid: This role requires some work onsite at our Cambridge Headquarters as needed. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite. Regular conversations with manager are encouraged to ensure alignment on in-person presence/expectations.
