For our client, we are seeking a Vice President, Hardware Quality to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This leader will own the hardware quality strategy across the full product lifecycle, ensuring the highest standards are built into design, development, manufacturing, and field performance. The role will guide a global quality organization and partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Product Development, and supply chain teams to reduce risk and drive continuous improvement. Success in this role will show up through stronger supplier performance, better visibility into quality trends, and more reliable products at scale. Location: Boston, MA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 annually Responsibilities Define and implement a comprehensive quality strategy for all hardware lifecycle phases Build and lead a global quality organization to promote operational excellence Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Product Development for quality planning and risk mitigation Establish quality metrics and reporting frameworks for visibility into performance and risks Drive quality improvement initiatives by analyzing field performance and manufacturing data Lead supplier quality programs, including audits and corrective actions Ensure supplier quality through qualification processes and strategic development efforts Qualifications 10+ years of leadership experience in hardware quality or related fields, particularly in consumer electronics or wearable tech Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing quality organizations in fast-paced environments Deep knowledge of consumer electronics manufacturing processes, including PCB manufacturing and critical component qualification Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners and managing quality across distributed operations Expertise in quality systems such as statistical process control, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management and data-driven decision-making Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline Benefits Competitive base salary and generous equity package Encouragement to apply even if not meeting every qualification, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace Office based in Boston, MA, with potential relocation assistance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
