Vice President, Global Procurement
About the role
The Vice President, Global Procurement will oversee Ingredion’s global spend for Chemicals, Packaging, CAPEX, and Indirect, including IT and Energy, with an estimated spend of ~$1.3B. They will serve as a key member of the Global Procurement Leadership Team and participate in the Global Capital Council.
Responsibilities
- Represent Operations and Procurement externally and internally.
- Partner with Business Unit (BU) leaders and P&L owners to deliver company results and enable top-line growth through robust sourcing strategies and supplier innovation.
- Lead and develop a global team including a Senior Director and Category Managers.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the company’s Indirect spend and drive implementation of best practices.
- Drive procurement strategies spanning Agribusiness, Chemicals, Packaging, CAPEX, and Indirect categories.
- Translate global procurement strategy into detailed category plans with measurable targets.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and avoidances, execute strategic sourcing projects, and manage key supplier relationships.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and develop risk management strategies.
- Lead a supplier enablement strategy to maximize spend through SAP Ariba/Keelvar Buying and Supply-Chain Collaboration.
- Identify and align procurement processes at various levels.
- Mentor employees outside direct line of report.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or operations leadership.
- Proven experience leading global teams and sourcing/commercial activities with a track record of driving change, innovation, and cost reduction in cross-cultural environments.
- Proven experience driving procurement strategies spanning Agribusiness, Chemicals, Packaging, CAPEX, and Indirect categories.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply management, engineering, life science, or other related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with executive leadership expectations.
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.

The pay range for this role is $267,400.00 - $356,533.33 annually, with incentive compensation and benefits included in the total compensation package.
