Vice President, Fund Manager - Private Equity
About the role
This role is located in New York, NY and requires 4 days of in-office work. The responsibilities include conducting accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and complex funds, leading work of junior team members, providing input into methodologies, reviewing complex work, guiding cash and asset reconciliations, interacting with clients, and evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules.
Responsibilities
- Determine net asset values and calculate fund performance
- Allocate expenses and prepare reports
- Lead work of junior team members
- Provide guidance on complex accounting responsibilities
- Develop service improvement plans and enhance processes
- Conduct specialist reviews
- Interact with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted issues
- Evaluate GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine impact of new regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7-10 years of total work experience preferred
- Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
- Ability to provide guidance to less experienced team members and potentially take on Team Lead responsibilities
