About the role

The Vice President for Financial and Business Services oversees the College’s financial and business operations, ensuring fiscal sustainability, operational effectiveness, and alignment with institutional priorities. They advise executive leadership and the Board on financial strategy, risk management, compliance, business operations, and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the College’s financial and business operations, ensuring fiscal sustainability, operational effectiveness, and alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, investments, grants accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, student billing, cash management, forecasting, audits, and related financial systems.
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on financial strategy, risk management, compliance, business operations, and long-range planning.
  • Strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead audit preparation and resolution efforts.
  • Drive process improvement, financial systems optimization, and service excellence across a large, multi-campus institution.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, funding partners, auditors, and community organizations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, public administration, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible financial and budget leadership.
  • Extensive expertise in accounting, public finance, auditing, compliance, budgeting, investments, and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex financial operations, enterprise financial systems, audits, and institution-wide business services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Pay

$155,222 - $213,445 annually.

Schedule

Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $271,668 annually.
