Vice President, Fixed Income Trading

About the role

Manage all aspects of executing complex order flow as part of a buy-side trading organization, in accordance with best execution procedures. Ensure client orders are executed in an efficient, timely, cost-effective manner, and in line with trade instructions.

• Work closely with peers in middle office and with counterparties to ensure efficient and accurate booking of trades.
• Collaborate with the investment team, trade support, quant research, and engineering teams to evolve trading practices and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.
• Maintain and develop constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors, and counterparties to constantly improve processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 3+ years of experience in institutional trading of Fixed Income products (FI). Experience in trading a broad category of FI products is preferred.
• Quantitative skillset and experience with some combination of Python, R, and SQL is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail or risk management.
• Intellectually curious, self-starter mindset—capable of grasping complex concepts and workflows and a desire to continually improve.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package.
