Vice President, Finance

The VP / Director of Finance at edisyl is responsible for both accounting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), ensuring the integrity of financial records and driving strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

• Accounting and Finance Operations: Managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; overseeing payroll processing; and maintaining internal controls and compliance.
• Reporting and Analysis: Creating and delivering management reporting packages; developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Leading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes; tracking and analyzing unit economics; and providing insights for business decisions.
• Treasury and Cash Management: Positioning the company for optimal liquidity; managing bank relationships; and positioning the company for growth.
• Sales Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with sales tax regulations across various jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of finance experience, including both controller and FP&A roles, and should be comfortable working independently in a startup environment. They should also have strong communication skills and proficiency in financial modeling and accounting software.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of finance experience, including both controller and FP&A roles.
• Strong SaaS metrics command and ability to build and explain them from scratch.
• Hands-on operator with experience working with an outsourced bookkeeping firm.
• Fluency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.
• Clear communication skills to translate complex financial information for non-finance audiences.
