Job Overview

Atlantic Group is hiring a Vice President, Finance in New York, NY for a client that is an alternative investment firm. The role oversees management‑company accounting, consolidated financial reporting, cross‑border finance, tax coordination, and financial planning. This hands‑on leadership position will transition key accounting processes in‑house while strengthening reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and finance infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, expense activity, and month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Lead consolidated financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis, and external audit activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support business planning.
• Oversee recurring finance activities while maintaining accurate financial records, reporting, and accounting controls.
• Strengthen accounting processes, financial controls, reporting workflows, and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Partner with senior leadership and external advisors on accounting, reporting, financial planning, and strategic finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• CPA certification (preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within investment management, financial services, or a related environment (required).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, month‑end close, financial controls, and accounting operations (required).
• Experience with FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required); experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and accounting systems (strongly preferred).

Pay

Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 per year plus bonus.
