Requirements
- Engineering Leadership: 10+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including experience leading multiple teams, multiple product areas, or a large engineering portfolio.
- Executive Experience: Experience as a VP, Senior Director, or equivalent engineering leader in a SaaS, enterprise software, platform, commerce, payments, fitness technology, or complex multi-product environment.
- Organizational Transformation: Proven ability to lead engineering organizations through scale, modernization, operational improvement, and organizational transformation.
- Global Team Leadership: Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones.
- Technical Judgment: Strong technical judgment across architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, reliability, security, quality, and engineering productivity.
- Outcome Orientation: Experience partnering with Product and business leaders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes and executable engineering plans.
- Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to improve delivery predictability, operational discipline, platform reliability, and product quality.
- Talent Development: Experience leading leaders, developing senior technical and management talent, and building high-performing engineering cultures.
- Change Leadership: Ability to drive change across teams and influence peers without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
- Executive Communication: Strong executive communication skills with the ability to communicate portfolio health, risks, trade-offs, and technical strategy clearly.
- Strategic Execution: Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational accountability and hands-on problem solving when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with fitness, wellness, membership management, billing, payments, commerce, CRM, or club / studio management platforms.
- Experience supporting operational systems used by business staff to manage day-to-day workflows.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers with complex integration needs, account-specific requirements, SLAs, escalations, and platform dependencies.
- Experience with API platform strategy, integration ecosystems, or enterprise platform capabilities.
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms while continuing to deliver customer-facing roadmap commitments.
- Experience improving SDLC practices through AI-assisted engineering, automation, CI/CD, testing strategy, developer tooling, or platform engineering.
- Experience leading engineering teams across North America, Latin America, Europe, and India.
- Experience operating in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation-oriented software company.
Skills
- Outcomes over outputs: Focus on measurable customer, business, and operational outcomes, not just shipped features or completed projects.
- Systems over heroics: Build durable teams, platforms, and operating rhythms that scale globally. Value reliability, repeatability, and thoughtful execution over last-minute saves or dependence on a few key individuals.
- Clarity over complexity: Make priorities, ownership, architecture, and tradeoffs clear. If a system, plan, or decision is too complex to explain, it is probably too complex to operate effectively.
- Transformation with discipline: Embrace AI-enabled SDLC adoption and new ways of working, but do so responsibly, measurably, and with clear support for teams through the transition.
- Global alignment over local optimization: Lead as one engineering organization, focusing on global alignment rather than local optimizations.
