Vice President, Data Privacy
About the role
Support the Chief Privacy Officer and Global Privacy Office Directors to operationalize the Bank’s privacy strategy and management framework
Provide privacy subject matter expert (SME) support to the business to help them fulfil their regulatory and organizational requirements to protect personal information and uphold the privacy rights of clients and employees, while enabling innovation
Design, develop, enhance and operationalize enterprise-level privacy policies/procedures, processes and controls. Key focus areas include privacy impact assessments and privacy regulatory change implementation.
Support the deployment of privacy management technology and tools (automation) to enhance data privacy controls
Work with key stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Compliance, business, technology) to implement regulatory compliance initiatives
Responsibilities
- Provide privacy subject matter expert (SME) support to the business to help them fulfill their regulatory and organizational requirements to protect personal information and uphold the privacy rights of clients and employees, while enabling innovation
- Design, develop, enhance and operationalize enterprise-level privacy policies/procedures, processes and controls. Key focus areas include privacy impact assessments and privacy regulatory change implementation
- Support the deployment of privacy management technology and tools (automation) to enhance data privacy controls
- Work with key stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Compliance, business, technology) to implement regulatory compliance initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelors or advanced degree (JD or MBA) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years experience in a privacy role
- Understanding of key privacy laws in EMEA and APAC (e.g. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), PECR, PIPL, DPDPA)
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
- Team player with an open and collaborative approach to delivering required outcomes
- Financial services industry experience
- CIPP certification, e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, and/or Global privacy program experience
Skills
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations
- Experience in privacy policy development and implementation
- Knowledge of privacy management technology and tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay
The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
Schedule
If hired, the employee will be in an “at will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payments or compensation programs) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
