About the Role

Advanced SENTRY is seeking an experienced, highly connected Vice President, Data Center Infrastructure Solutions & Technical Enablement to lead the expansion of our data center infrastructure, technical workforce, strategic partnerships, and integrated security solutions. This hands-on executive leadership position is ideal for an individual who understands how modern data centers are built, operated, protected, staffed, and supported—and who has established relationships throughout the data center, cloud, colocation, telecommunications, infrastructure, and technology ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical infrastructure experience with the ability to develop people, establish repeatable processes, build strategic relationships, open new business opportunities, and translate technical customer requirements into scalable solutions.

The Vice President of Data Center Infrastructure Solutions & Technical Enablement will play a key role in building and scaling this model, working across operations, recruiting, training, sales, strategic partnerships, infrastructure services, and security leadership to develop a repeatable capability for supporting mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

Data Center Infrastructure Leadership

Provide technical leadership for Advanced SENTRY's data center and infrastructure services, including:

  • Data center deployments and expansions
  • Rack and stack operations
  • Structured cabling
  • Fiber and copper infrastructure
  • Server and network commissioning
  • Smart Hands and Remote Hands services
  • Hardware deployments and decommissions
  • Network and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Power and cooling readiness
  • Asset and inventory management
  • Hardware lifecycle and RMA coordination
  • Data center moves, adds, changes, and expansions
  • Colocation and vendor coordination

Evaluate customer requirements and develop the appropriate technical workforce, processes, documentation, and execution strategy for each engagement.

Strategic Relationships & Business Development

Develop and leverage relationships throughout the data center and critical-infrastructure ecosystem:

  • Build relationships with cloud providers, colocation operators, data center owners, infrastructure companies, contractors, technology vendors, ISPs, and strategic partners
  • Identify and develop new infrastructure and security opportunities
  • Create introductions between Advanced SENTRY and key industry decision-makers
  • Support executive-level customer meetings
  • Participate in technical discovery and solution-development discussions
  • Convert relationships into strategic partnerships and revenue opportunities
  • Serve as a technical advisor during the sales process
  • Assist with solution scoping, staffing strategies, proposals, and statements of work
  • Expand Advanced SENTRY's visibility and credibility throughout the data center industry

Technical Workforce Development

Work directly with Advanced SENTRY's recruiting organization to build a scalable pipeline of qualified infrastructure professionals:

  • Establish technical requirements for data center positions
  • Develop technician competency standards
  • Create technical interview and screening criteria
  • Participate in technical candidate evaluations
  • Identify high-potential technicians
  • Establish technician levels and career progression
  • Support recruiting teams in understanding technical job requirements
  • Develop workforce plans for infrastructure projects and customer deployments

Training & Technical Enablement

Develop and lead Advanced SENTRY's technical training and enablement program:

  • Create standardized training for:
    • Data Center Technicians
    • Deployment Technicians
    • Smart Hands Technicians
    • Network and Infrastructure Technicians
    • Lead Technicians
    • Infrastructure Project Leads
  • Training should include both classroom and practical instruction covering:
    • Rack and stack procedures
    • Structured cabling
    • Fiber and copper standards
    • Cable management and labeling
    • Server installation and commissioning
    • Network equipment installation
    • Port maps and rack elevations
    • Power and cooling awareness
    • Hardware troubleshooting
    • Linux and infrastructure fundamentals
    • Change management
    • MOP execution
    • Incident escalation
    • Documentation standards
    • Data center safety and customer-site conduct
  • Develop train-the-trainer capabilities to continuously develop qualified technical personnel at scale.

Process Development & Standardization

Create repeatable operational standards for Advanced SENTRY infrastructure engagements:

  • Develop and maintain:
    • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Methods of Procedure
    • Deployment checklists
    • Data center readiness assessments
    • Quality-control standards
    • Technician evaluation procedures
    • Escalation procedures
    • Change-management processes
    • Incident-response procedures
    • Rack-build standards
    • Cabling standards
    • Asset-management procedures
    • Site documentation
    • Customer acceptance and project closeout processes

Integrated Physical & Cyber Security

Work with Advanced SENTRY's physical security and cybersecurity resources to develop integrated protection strategies for mission-critical environments:

  • Physical facility security
  • Data center access control
  • Contractor and technician access
  • Asset protection
  • Chain of custody
  • Restricted-area procedures
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Incident escalation
  • Operational resilience
  • Business continuity
  • Physical and cyber incident coordination
  • Infrastructure security procedures
  • Layered protection of mission-critical environments

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 10+ years of data center, infrastructure, cloud, network, or mission-critical facility experience
  • Significant experience supporting large-scale data center deployments
  • Strong understanding of server, network, rack, cabling, power, and infrastructure environments
  • Experience working with cloud providers, hyperscalers, colocation facilities, ISPs, technology vendors, or enterprise data centers
  • Demonstrated experience developing technicians or technical teams
  • Experience developing SOPs, MOPs, runbooks, deployment procedures, and operational standards
  • Strong vendor and contractor management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, executives, customers, and partners
  • Established relationships throughout the data center and infrastructure industry
  • Experience supporting customer development, strategic partnerships, technical sales, or solution engineering
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into staffing and operational solutions
  • Strong leadership, documentation, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with technologies or environments involving Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Linux, structured cabling, DWDM, out-of-band management, monitoring platforms, hardware lifecycle management, GPU/high-density infrastructure, or liquid-cooled environments is highly desirable
