Vice President, Auditor, Finance Audit

About the role

You will make an impact by leading or performing audits related to Finance reporting activities and working as a team member on audit assignments. You will lead risk-focused planning, fieldwork, and reporting, adhering to Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards to identify meaningful issues, risks, and exposures. You will ensure that testing (or other tasks as applicable) is adequate and accurate to evaluate adherence to company policies, procedures, audit methodologies, and applicable regulations. You will demonstrate skills and understanding of businesses and processes through flowcharting, work papers, analysis, issue identification, and discussions with management and auditees. You will identify inconsistencies within the control environment, regulatory requirements, and best practices and clearly explain the audit process to clients, as well as any findings or results. You will apply advanced analytical problem-solving skills and lead others in solving complex issues and identifying innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures testing (or other tasks as applicable) is adequate and accurate to allow an evaluation of adherence to company policies and procedures, audit methodologies, and all applicable regulations.
• Demonstrates skills and understanding of businesses and processes through flowcharting, work papers, analysis, issue identification, and discussions with management and auditees.
• Identifies inconsistencies within the control environment, regulatory requirements, and best practices and clearly explains the audit process to clients, as well as any findings or results.
• Applies advanced analytical problem-solving skills and leads others in solving complex issues and identifying innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
• Preferred: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant critical thinking specialty such as MIS, DIS, Computer Science, Mathematics.
• Preferred: Relevant Professional Certification (CPA, ACA).
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Prior experience in Audit or the relevant specialty area preferred.
• Additional core skill requirements include understanding of the applied and interpretation of analytics results for Audit, critical thinking, and problem solving.
