Vice President, AI Engineering

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a focused AI strategy that aligns with the company’s core competencies
• Lead the development of a reusable AI platform with a focus on security and reliability
• Transform participant benefits experience through AI-powered solutions
• Drive intelligent automation to enhance workflow efficiency and decision-making
• Implement responsible AI practices that prioritize trust and privacy in all solutions
• Build and lead a high-performing AI team across multiple technical domains
• Serve as a key spokesperson for the company’s AI initiatives to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-team AI or engineering organizations
• Demonstrated success deploying AI products with measurable impact
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, and production AI engineering
• Proven track record in managing investment portfolios and vendor partnerships
• Experience in regulated environments with a focus on AI risks and governance
• Ability to recruit and develop senior technical leaders

Pay

$265,000 – $290,000 annually
