About the role

The Interim Oversight Minister will provide oversight to the clergy and lay leadership of the Malmesbury Abbey and Upper Avon Group benefice. This two-year position will support the ongoing development and mission of the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the spiritual and pastoral care of the congregation
• Support the development of the community’s mission and vision
• Collaborate with other leaders to ensure effective governance and decision-making
• Represent the benefice in local and diocesan contexts

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar leadership role
• Strong pastoral skills and a commitment to the Benedictine tradition
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Qualifications

• Ordination as a priest in the Church of England or an equivalent denomination
• Master’s degree in Theology or related field (desirable)
