Responsibilities
- Partner closely with your Managing Veterinarian to create a hospital culture where people feel supported, clients feel cared for, and teams can do their best work.
- Lead and coach hospital team members.
- Partner with the Managing Veterinarian on hospital goals and performance.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workflow efficiency.
- Monitor key business metrics, budgeting, payroll, and inventory.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
- Address client concerns and enhance the overall client experience.
- Build relationships with local veterinary practices and community partners.
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience in veterinary or healthcare management.
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, payroll, and reporting.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees, clients, and community partners.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, collaborative workplace.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend support as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant experience may substitute for education.
- License/Certification: Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio.
