Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Internal Medicine

Job Summary

The Internal Medicine Technician Supervisor serves as the primary liaison for the Internal Medicine Department, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care. This role will be on the clinical floor in the department and responsible for addressing technical inquiries, resolving operational concerns, and supporting the Department Manager by overseeing the technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor technical staff
• Coincordinate with doctors to optimize workflow
• Maintain a well-equipped and organized department
• Coordinate training opportunities
• Collaborate with team to maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies
• Oversee the cleaning and maintenance requests of specialized equipment

Qualifications

• RVT 3 or higher
• Minimum five years experience in the veterinary field
• Strong focus on cleanliness and thoroughness in all tasks
• Ability to direct a team to promote efficiency and quality care
• Willingness to respond positively to requests from staff and work effectively with others
• Availability weekends as required
• Ability to multi-task and work on several different projects simultaneously
• Great work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced environment; Self-starter who is able to work with and without direct supervision

Compensation

$31- $42/hr, Depending upon experience/skills
