Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, including examinations, treatments, and medication administration.
• Observe and assist with various medical procedures under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.
• Perform technical tasks such as collecting blood samples, administering injections, and assisting with surgical procedures.
• Support daily clinical functions, including patient intake and discharge processes.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the hospital.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technician/Nursing program.
• Eligibility to participate in an externship as required by your academic program.
• A strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and a willingness to adapt in a clinical setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and restrain animals, and handle clinical instruments.

Qualifications

• Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
• Passing scores on relevant certification exams if applicable.
• Experience with veterinary software and electronic health records.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
