Veterinary Technician - Part-Time

About the role

We're hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Southside Petcare Center. This is a weekend-only role available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
• Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics
• Educating pet parents with compassion and clarity
• Ensuring accurate medical documentation and patient histories
• Promoting low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
• Mentoring assistants and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) in the state of Florida

Qualifications

• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Committed to low-stress, Fear-Free handling
