Veterinary Technician or Assistant-Uniontown, PA
About the role
Since 2014, Alpha Veterinary Services has been serving the Uniontown community with compassionate, high-quality care for both companion animals and large animals. We are currently seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and wants to continue growing their skills.
Responsibilities
- Aid veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
- Prepare patients for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
- Monitor anesthesia (based on experience and credentials)
- Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
- Place IV catheters, administer medications and vaccines, and perform venipuncture
- Take and develop digital radiographs
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Support a positive, efficient workflow while supporting your teammates
Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or at least 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work rotating Saturday shifts
- Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, or surgery is a plus but not required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current license to practice veterinary technology in Pennsylvania
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay
Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
Schedule
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM | Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
