About the role
The primary focus is to provide comprehensive veterinary care including surgery, emergency medicine, radiology, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, rehabilitation, and neurology services.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgeries under the supervision of experienced veterinarians.
- Treat and manage emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct diagnostic imaging using radiology techniques.
- Manage and treat cases in internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, and neurology.
- Implement rehabilitation and pain management protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited program.
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of North Carolina.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and pharmacology.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.
Skills
- Skilled in surgical procedures and anesthesia management.
- Knowledgeable in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Experience with rehabilitation and pain management protocols.
- Effective in managing multiple patients simultaneously.
