Veterinary Technician, Emergency Critical Care

The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Critical Care team in Charleston, SC. This is an outstanding opportunity to continue growing your career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and critical care patients.
- Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and emergency triage.
- Collect diagnostic samples including blood, urine, and other laboratory specimens.
- Operate laboratory equipment and perform in-house diagnostic testing.
- Maintain detailed medical records and communicate patient updates with the medical team.
- Provide compassionate client communication and discharge education.
- Collaborate with Emergency, Critical Care, and Specialty teams to ensure exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Veterinary Technician experience, preferably in emergency or critical care medicine.
- LVT certification preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of patient restraint, phlebotomy, anesthesia, medical math, laboratory procedures, and emergency nursing skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during high-acuity emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills are required for this role. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
