Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Aiding in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Proficiency in surgical assistance and aseptic technique
• Proficiency in venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
• Accuracy in medical record documentation
• Safety and low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
• Ability to educate clients and communicate effectively
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

Pay

$18 - $26 per hour, for each hour worked

Schedule

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

The 4,900-square-foot freestanding hospital features an updated open floor plan, 3 exam rooms, digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. The team handles a busy appointment schedule and 2–4 procedures per day, including spay/neuter, cystotomy, splenectomy, tumor removal, and occasional amputation.
