Veterinary Technician

What You'll Do

  • Clinical & Surgical Support
  • Absorb and support veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Prepare patients and surgical suites using proper sterile techniques
  • Maintain patient care and triage urgent cases
  • Perform phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiology, and in-house lab work
  • Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous medications as directed
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and discharge instructions
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical areas
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong foundation in veterinary nursing and patient care
  • Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team player
  • Confident with venipuncture, IV catheters, medications, anesthesia monitoring, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and in-house diagnostics
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • A compassionate approach to patients, clients, and coworkers
  • LVT credentials are a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Safe handling and restraining dogs and cats of varying sizes
  • Assisting with lifting and moving patients and equipment

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Approximately 70–80 hours per pay period
  • Saturday availability is required
  • Regular schedule will be discussed during the interview process
