Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, dentistry, and medical procedures
- Obtain laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision
- Monitor anesthesia and hospitalized patients
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout their visit
- Accurately document treatments and patient information
- Educate pet owners on medications, home care, and preventive medicine
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
- Support daily hospital operations while working closely with your teammates
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital
- Confidence handling and restraining companion animals safely
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Positive attitude and a collaborative approach to patient care
- Excellent communication and client service skills
Skills
- Experience monitoring anesthesia
- Surgical or dental assisting experience
- Familiarity with veterinary practice software
- Interest in continuing education and expanding your technical abilities
