Core Responsibilities / Skills

• Assisting Veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
• Understanding of medical terminology and products
• Safe and fear-free animal restraint/handling
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Running lab diagnostics
• Radiology techniques (including dental)
• Phlebotomy skills / catheter placement
• Appropriate sterilization of hospital and equipment
• Providing education for clients through effective communication
• Anesthesia monitoring including pre and post op
• Maintenance of machines
• Appropriate record keeping

Pay

The pay range is based on experience and certifications, ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, which may vary depending on experience. A sign-on bonus of $1000.00 is offered for surgical experience.
