Veterinary Technician

Washington County Veterinary Hospital is located in Wakefield, Rhode Island and surrounded by inlets to the ocean. We are a modern facility providing our clients and patients with exceptional veterinary care. We are looking to add a full-time experienced veterinary technician to join our amazing team. Responsibilities

• Properly handle and restrain animals
• Room patients
• Assist in surgery and surgical recovery
• Place IV catheters
• Draw blood and run bloodwork
• Operate x-ray equipment and ensure proper positioning
• Use laboratory equipment
• Provide client education
• Maintain a positive and supportive team environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay

Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience. Eligibility for a sign-on bonus up to $3500.00 based on experience and surgical/anesthesia experience.
