About the role

We are seeking a 4th board-certified or residency-trained Small Animal Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers. Located in beautiful Central West Florida, our Brandon hospital offers 24/7 emergency and specialty care to a vibrant and growing veterinary community.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care for a variety of small animal cases
• Collaborate with other specialists in internal medicine, critical care, ophthalmology, and radiation oncology
• Participate in case rounds and consultations
• Contribute to the development and implementation of surgical protocols
• Train and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary surgery through continuing education

Requirements

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida
• Board-certified or completed a residency program in small animal surgery
• Experience in emergency and specialty care preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Completed AVSAB certification in Small Animal Surgery
• Passing score on the ABVS Small Animal Surgery examination
