Veterinary Sales Associate - Anchorage, AK
About the role
We are looking for a driven, reliable, extremely organized, pet passionate individual with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital environment to help build, maintain and strengthen relationships with veterinary practices in the Anchorage area!
Responsibilities
- Visit veterinary practices to build relationships and educate hospital staff on the advantages of having insured clients and how to incorporate this into their workflow.
- Work independently and as part of a team to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
- Present to hospital owners and staff with confidence, demonstrating a passion for helping eliminate economic euthanasia in dogs & cats.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience.
- Must possess valid and clean driver’s license record and reliable car to travel to animal hospitals in the territory.
- Occasional weekends for Veterinary Conferences.

- Thorough understanding of the Veterinary Industry (minimum of 2 years veterinary clinic experience)

- Outgoing and sales-driven personality to foster building relationships with our partnering veterinarian practices throughout the territory
- Ability to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience
- Outstanding communication, listening skills, and a professional appearance
- Sales & Marketing background a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Qualifications
This position is contingent on successfully obtaining a Property and Casualty license in Alaska. The licensing process involves an additional state background check that reviews a candidate's entire history from age 18 onward. Benefits
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a full-time, 40 hour per week commitment, a high level of activity to assist in maintaining and building territory success. In this role, you'll earn an hourly salary and have monthly or quarterly bonus opportunities.
Pay
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position requires physically visiting animal hospitals in the territory and occasional weekends for Veterinary Conferences.
Location
Must live within the Anchorage area and be willing to be on the road visiting hospitals 32 hours a week in addition to some administrative work from a home office.
Additional Requirements
- Must acquire and maintain a P&C Insurance License in order to be employed
