Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

First Capitol Animal Hospital is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our team. As the face of the hospital, you will greet visitors with warmth and compassion, fostering trust in the veterinary team and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

About the role

In this position, you will schedule and manage the flow of appointments, provide empathetic customer service while multi-tasking between a multi-line phone system and in-person clients, process financial transactions, answer inquiries, and provide essential information about the services we provide.

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in fast-paced customer service who are friendly, outgoing, detail-oriented, excellent at multi-tasking, and committed to contributing to a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage appointment flow
• Provide empathetic customer service while multi-tasking between a multi-line phone system and in-person clients
• Process financial transactions
• Answer client inquiries and provide information about veterinary services
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy periods

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
• Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional service during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
• Proficiency in processing payments and maintaining financial records

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 4/8 schedule Monday-Friday and availability needed on Saturdays from 8am-12pm.

Pay

$16–$18 per hour.
