Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

About the role

Churchland Animal Clinic is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services.

Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.

Schedule

This is a full-time position (38–40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling options, Monday–Friday and typically 1 Saturday shift per month from 7:30 AM–2:00 PM. Typical shifts run 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, with extended evening availability needed on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 9:00 PM. Schedule flexibility between shift lengths is available for the right candidate.

Pay

$15.00 – $18.50 per hour

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
• Previous veterinary or healthcare-related front desk experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to manage a multi-line phone system while assisting in-person clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional service during both routine interactions and emotionally sensitive situations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow preferred
• Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
• Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with an energetic, close-knit team
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy periods, including evening hours
