About the role
Board-Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist needed for a full-time position at Animal Eye Care Associates in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities
- Care for a diverse caseload of canine and feline patients with complex eye conditions
- Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide holistic care
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary ophthalmology through continuing education
Requirements
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia
- Experience in ophthalmology preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an ACVIM accredited program
- Completion of a residency program in veterinary ophthalmology (preferred)
- Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical techniques and equipment
