About the role
Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Office Manager to help lead our team and support the daily operations of our mixed animal, general practice. We're ideally looking for someone with prior veterinary experience who enjoys mentoring others, improving workflows, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Support, coach, and mentor team members while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance conversations.
- Daily Operations: Coordinate daily hospital workflow, manage scheduling, maintain inventory and equipment, and help ensure compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulations.
- Hands-On Team Support: Assist on the hospital floor as needed, providing support to client service representatives, technicians, and assistants to help maintain efficient patient care and client service.
- Client Experience: Help create an outstanding client experience by addressing concerns, supporting the front desk team, and identifying opportunities to improve service and communication.
- Workflow & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and communication while helping implement new processes and best practices.
- Administrative Support: Assist with payroll preparation, reporting, supply ordering, and other administrative responsibilities that keep the hospital operating smoothly.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of veterinary assistant, veterinary receptionist, or other veterinary office experience required.
- Experience as a team lead, shift lead, supervisor, or other related leadership within a veterinary hospital preferred.
- Demonstrated career growth through increased responsibility, leadership, or professional advancement in previous roles.
- Passion for mentoring, developing, and supporting team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable stepping into both administrative and clinical support roles as needed.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Ability to adapt quickly, remain flexible, and lead calmly through changing priorities.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and coordinating daily hospital operations preferred.
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay and Schedule
This is a full-time position with availability generally needed M-F. Schedule flexibility is occasionally required based on hospital needs. Compensation: $26-28 per hour, for each hour worked.
