Veterinary Neurologist

The Role

We are seeking a Veterinary Neurologist to join our team at Animal Clinic Northview. This position will help build and expand our neurology service and enhance the advanced care we provide to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage neurological disorders, including seizures, spinal disease, neuromuscular disorders, and brain injuries
• Perform or assist with neurosurgical procedures, such as hemilaminectomies and other decompressive surgeries
• Provide compassionate and effective care in emergency neurological situations
• Collaborate with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure the best possible care for our patients

Requirements

• Experience or residency training in neurology; board certification preferred
• Proven ability to diagnose and treat a variety of neurological conditions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio

Skills

• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and client relationship management
• Comfortable working in an emergency setting
