Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing on animal samples using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Specialize in an assigned department and contribute to the company's mission of enhancing the lives of people and pets.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A degree in a Science-related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to bring energy into the lab.
  • An ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, enjoy working in a team, and have attention to detail.
  • The ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing, sitting, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and specific vision abilities.
  • Potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT).
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting, including standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, and specific vision abilities.

Pay

$23.25 / hr

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 12 PM - 6:30 PM. Shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs.
