Job Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist (DACVIM-Cardiology board-certified or board-eligible) to expand our Cardiology service. Join an AAHA-accredited, VECCS Level 1 emergency and specialty hospital with a brand-new specialty building and 50+ years of reputation for top-level medicine.
Responsibilities
- Consulting with other specialists on complex cases
- Serving as a specialist in seeing specialty appointments and building relationships with clients
- Collaborating with dedicated Outreach Coordinators and the referring veterinary community to grow caseload
- Consulting and taking transfers from our ER and ICU
- Working alongside a collegial team of specialists respected throughout the region
- Teaching hospital with AAHA-accredited specialty services
- Utilizing advanced equipment and diagnostics, including GE Vivid E9, EchoPAC software, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, 3 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT, ventilator support, endoscopy/otoscopy, on-site blood bank, hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and more
- Collaborating with 13+ board-certified specialists (Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiology)
- Providing 24/7 on-call surgery availability + 7-day Criticalist coverage
- Receiving strong support from a supportive team (200+ teammates) including VTS, client service, liaisons, financial coordinators, DVM coordinators, and more
- Acess to atDove training platform plus CE resources (lectures, conferences, wet labs, on-the-floor training)
Qualifications
- DVM (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited school or ECFVG certification
- Ability to be licensed in Oregon
- DACVIM (Cardiology) board-certified or board-eligible
- Passion for a client-centered practice and collaborative medicine
