About the role

The Avian & Exotics Specialist position is available at MedVet's Hilliard hospital. This 24/7 Emergency and Multi-Specialty facility offers a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for avian and exotic animals
• Collaborate with a skilled team including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
• Contribute to the development of referral partnerships based on trust, respect, communication, and empathy

Requirements

• Board certification or residency training in avian/exotic medicine
• Experience in emergency and specialty practice
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio

Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and customer service skills
