About the role

Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-based care in a warm, client-centered setting. We aim to respect each pet’s whole wellbeing and build long-term relationships with both pet owners and their animals. During stressful times, we strive to reduce anxiety, explain options clearly, and treat each patient with empathy and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential patient care, assisting the medical team with hands-on tasks and ensuring every animal is treated with compassion and respect.
  • Be the go-to support for the medical team, anticipating needs and streamlining workflows to maintain a smooth and collaborative environment.
  • Create a positive client experience by assisting with scheduling, payments, and communications, always with a courteous and informative approach.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by taking pride in maintaining the hospital, performing clinic upkeep, and equipment maintenance to uphold high standards of care.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A calm and efficient approach, able to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
  • Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills, such as laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology, is a strong asset.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Calm and efficient approach, handling stress with composure.
  • Confidence and skill in working with pets of various sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and a willingness to learn more.
