About the role

This position is for enthusiastic registered veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants with a passion for emergency and critical care. Successful candidates will provide clinical assistance to professional staff and a variety of treatments to patients admitted to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). Candidates will have the opportunity to actively participate in one-on-one training of veterinary students, as well as work alongside veterinary specialists to provide clients and patients with the highest standard of care. This is a full-time position with varying shifts and hours. Shift differentials are available for non-traditional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to professional staff.
• Provide a variety of treatments to patients admitted to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH).
• Actively participate in one-on-one training of veterinary students.
• Work alongside veterinary specialists to provide clients and patients with the highest standard of care.

Requirements

• High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
• Two years related experience; or Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program with two years related experience; or Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or
