Veterinary Assistant/Technician

About the role

Meadowlawn Animal Services – Loris Location is seeking a full‑time, motivated veterinary technician or assistant. Our privately‑owned group of three small‑animal hospitals in the Myrtle Beach area practices cutting‑edge veterinary medicine, including digital x‑ray, ultrasound, orthopedic surgery, and more. This role offers the opportunity to work to the top of your license with a wide variety of cases while contributing to quality medicine in the community.

Qualifications

• Current veterinary technician license preferred with at least 1 year of experience, or 1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills & Attributes

• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and experienced veterinary assistant
• 1+ years of experience as an assistant; clinical experience as a technician is preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Ability to build partnerships with clients to support patient care
• Works well in a team environment
• Advocates for patients with effective client communication and education
• Surgical experience is a plus
