Veterinary Assistant - Southside Animal Hospital (Johns Island)

Position Responsibilities

• Aid doctors and technicians with surgical preparation and anesthetic monitoring
• Triage patients and assist with appointments
• Administer and understand vaccination protocols
• Distinguish between core and lifestyle vaccines
• Educate clients on preventatives and wellness care
• Venipuncture (preferred but not required)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

Compensation

$17–$22 per hour, based on experience

Ideal Candidate

• Prior veterinary experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and client education ability
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and dependable
