Veterinary Assistant - Part-Time

About the role

VCA Dublin Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the team part-time. The hospital has a unique culture that values each person's individual skill and personality. You will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Aiding the Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal care. Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required. A valid Colorado driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a veterinary assistant program is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
