Veterinary assistant Part Time

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values
• Be tech savvy
• Support BoosterPet virtual care services
• Complete detailed medical records with thorough medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
• Educate animal owners
• Obtain thorough, concise history from clients
• Obtain and record accurate vitals
• Liaise with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
• Administer medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
• Maintain medication clerk licensure
• Perform phlebotomy duties, and provide intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
• Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
• Absorb and perform tasks at the front desk/kiosk, greeting clients/patients upon entry
• Answer phones and make appointments as needed

Requirements

We are willing to train people who are willing to learn with an upbeat attitude.

A Medication Clerk license is preferred but not required, as we will help you obtain one if needed.

Pay

The salary for a specific position will fall within this range, taking into account factors such as education, experience, and tenure.
