About the role
The Veterinary Assistant or Technician will be part of a dynamic team at Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Greenville, NC.Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications and injections
- Clean and prepare examination rooms
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory
- Support the hospital's mission of providing quality care to animals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or related field
- Current license to practice veterinary technology in North Carolina
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of animal care and handling
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
