Veterinary Assistant
Kiln Creek Animal Care is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are a Fear Free Certified Practice and AAHA Accredited Hospital, offering urgent care services and a supportive team environment focused on high-quality medicine and client care.
- Provide essential patient care: Assist the medical team with hands-on care and ensure every animal is treated with compassion and respect.
- Create a positive client experience: Help create a seamless visit for clients by assisting with scheduling, payments, and communications, always with a courteous and informative approach.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment: Take pride in maintaining the hospital, performing clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance to uphold our high standards of care.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
- A passion for veterinary medicine and patient care.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to assist with urgent care shifts.
Schedule
Hospital Hours:
- Monday – Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday & Friday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday: Urgent Care coverage from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
- A confident and skilled approach to handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
