About the role

Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services is excited to announce we are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our busy emergency and surgery practice here in Staten Island!

Responsibilities

• Provide support to doctors and technicians
• Restrain patients for exams and procedures
• Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing
• Monitor and document patient’s vital signs
• Aid in obtaining radiographs
• Properly use and maintain hospital equipment
• Help keep hospital clean, neat, and stocked
• Walk dogs as directed
• Feed patients as directed
• Laundry
