Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments
• Aiding with diagnostic testing and sample collection
• Serving as support during surgical and dental procedures
• Maintaining patient comfort and recovery
• Collecting medical histories and documenting patient information
• Providing educational guidance to pet owners on wellness recommendations and treatment plans
• Maintaining treatment areas and medical equipment
• Safely handling and restraining animals of various sizes and temperaments

Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience
• Experience collecting blood samples and placing IV catheters
• Knowledge of patient preparation and nursing care
• Familiarity with anesthesia support and monitoring
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (VTS) preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic computer skills

Pay

$16.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
