About the role
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Critical Care Department at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital & Referral Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our hospital offers a wide range of services including oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, and internal medicine.
Responsibilities
- Assist with procedures
- Monitor anesthetic procedures
- Help with instrument cleaning and pack prep
- Maintain cardiac equipment
- All normal veterinary medical support staff duties such as patient restraint, IVC placement, phlebotomy, post-surgical patient recovery, etc.

Schedule
3 days, 12-hour shift, overnights or days
