Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care.
• Maintain accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Assist veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments while providing high‑quality patient care.
• Build positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role (preferred).
• Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient‑care principles.
• Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday.

Schedule and Compensation

Compensation: $18 – $21 per hour, based on location, experience, and related factors.

This is a full‑time position with a 4/10 schedule, requiring availability Monday‑Saturday.
