Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Tiger Tails Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support exceptional experiences for clients and patients. The ideal candidate will enjoy variety in their day and utilize and develop a well-rounded skillset across patient care, client service, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces

Requirements

This is a flexible, full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Minimum qualifications and skill set include 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role experience, proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint, basic veterinary assistant skills, strong client communication and education skills, excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, dependable work ethic, and physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely restrain patients.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Korean-speaking skills are a plus!

Pay

Compensation: $18-21 per hour, for each hour worked. Company will consider the applicant's education, training, or experience related to the job position, geographic location where the work is performed, and other relevant factors.

Schedule
